what we keep, and why

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what pdoomvideo.com and pdoomvideo Creator collect, why, who else handles it, and how to ask us to delete it. It describes how the site works today.

Last updated: 11 October 2026

1. Who is responsible

Springtide Labs LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States, is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact: support@pdoomvideo.com.

2. What we collect

When you visit any page

  • Our page-view log: the time, the page you opened, the website that sent you (its host name only, such as “google.com”, not the full address), your country as reported by Cloudflare, whether your browser looks like a phone, a computer or a bot, and the optional ?ref= tag in the link you followed. This log does not contain your IP address or your full browser identification string.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the site (section 4).

When you submit a remix

  • The link, title, creator name, type and note you enter. The link, title, creator name, type and date are shown publicly in the gallery; the note is not.
  • A one-way hash of your IP address, made with a secret key. It is stored with your submission, and in a rate-limit log that allows 5 submissions every 10 minutes. We never store the IP address itself.

When you sign in to Creator with Google

  • From Google: your Google account ID, email address and name. Google also includes a link to your profile picture, which we do not store.
  • Your access status: when you joined the waitlist, whether you redeemed an invite code (our database records only a one-way hash of the code you used), when access was granted, and when you last signed in.
  • A sign-in cookie (section 5). On our side we keep only a one-way hash of it.

When you make a video

  • The idea you type (up to 500 characters) and the options you choose, such as length and whether the song has lyrics.
  • What is made from it: the song’s lyrics, title and audio, the song’s timing analysis, the storyboard, the code for each scene, preview images, and the finished MP4.
  • Progress, error messages and usage records for each video.

Your finished videos are private: on pdoomvideo.com, only your signed-in account can watch or download them. Videos made before accounts existed open only in the browser that made them.

Emails

We email you when you are let in from the waitlist and when a video is ready. The “video ready” email repeats your idea. We do not send marketing email.

Payments (not open yet)

When paid access opens, Stripe will process payments. Stripe collects your card details directly; we will not see or store your full card number. We will receive records of your payments from Stripe, such as the amount, currency, date and status. We will update this policy when payments open.

3. How we use it

  • To run the service you asked for: signing you in, making and delivering your videos, keeping them in your account, and sending the emails above. (Legal basis in the EEA and UK: performance of a contract.)
  • To keep the site working and safe: rate limits, preventing abuse, and fixing failed videos. (Legitimate interests.)
  • To understand our traffic: which pages and links bring visitors, from the page-view log above. (Legitimate interests.)
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records once payments open. (Legal obligation.)

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use your ideas or videos to train AI models.

4. Who else handles it

We use these service providers to run pdoomvideo. Each receives only what its part of the service needs.

  • Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery and security for pdoomvideo.com; our database (accounts, ideas, video records, the page-view log and gallery submissions) and file storage (songs, working files and finished videos); and cloud computers we can use to make videos. It processes IP addresses and request details to serve and protect the site.
  • Google: “Sign in with Google”. Google learns that you signed in to pdoomvideo. Our pages also show video thumbnails from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com), so your browser contacts Google when those pages load. Videos play from youtube-nocookie.com only after you click play; YouTube’s own privacy policy then applies.
  • Anthropic: the Claude AI model writes the song from your idea, then plans and paints the scenes. It receives your idea word for word, the lyrics, the song’s timing data, the storyboard, the scene code and preview images. We reach Claude through Anthropic’s API, through APIMart, or through a relay that runs on our own computers.
  • APIMart: an AI service that generates and records the song with the Suno music model and analyses its timing. For the song it receives the lyrics, title and musical style that Claude wrote from your idea, which can repeat words from it. When it relays requests to Claude, it receives what Anthropic receives.
  • Resend: sends our emails. It receives your email address, your first name (in the welcome email) and your idea (in the “video ready” email).
  • Telegram (only if we turn on failure alerts for our team): an alert to our own chat may include a video’s ID, its error, and the first 120 characters of the idea.
  • Stripe (once payments open): payment processing.

Videos are rendered on computers we operate, which hold a video’s working files while it is being made.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.

5. Cookies

  • pdv_user: keeps you signed in to Creator. Set only when you sign in. Lasts 30 days, or until you sign out.
  • pdv_oauth: protects the Google sign-in step. Lasts up to 10 minutes and is removed when sign-in finishes.
  • creator_session: from an earlier version of Creator. We no longer set it, but still read it so early testers can see videos they made before accounts existed.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and our pages do not store anything else in your browser. YouTube may set its own cookies or storage once you click play on an embedded video.

6. How long we keep it

We have not set up automatic deletion yet, so today we keep most information until you ask us to delete it:

  • Your account, ideas, songs, videos, working files and email records: for as long as your account exists, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • The page-view log: kept with no fixed end date. It contains no IP address.
  • Gallery submissions, including the hashed IP address stored with each one: kept with no fixed end date.
  • The rate-limit log (hashed IP addresses): entries more than 24 hours old are deleted each time someone submits a remix.
  • Working files on the computers that render videos: may stay on those computers after the video is finished.
  • Payment records (once payments open): as long as tax and accounting laws require.

Our service providers keep what they receive according to their own terms and policies.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Deletion: email support@pdoomvideo.com from the address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account, ideas and videos. We may keep what the law requires us to keep, and the minimum needed to enforce our Terms, such as a record that an account was blocked.
  • Other requests: use the same address to ask for a copy of your information or to correct it. Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK, or California and some other US states), you may also have the right to object to or restrict our use of it, to receive it in a portable format, and to complain to your data protection authority.
  • We may ask you to confirm the request comes from the account holder, for example by writing from the email address on the account.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

9. Security

The site uses HTTPS. Sign-in cookies are HttpOnly and Secure. We keep only hashes of sign-in tokens and IP addresses, our database records redeemed invite codes only as hashes, and finished videos are served only to their owner (section 2). No method of storage or transfer is perfectly secure.

10. Children

Creator is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@pdoomvideo.com and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when what we collect or who handles it changes, and change the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will also give notice on the site.
